I do hope you put a photo of your tree on here, what theme are you planning for this year? I love the sound of the candle melts too. I’ve not been to either Cardiff or Swansea shopping this year which I usually do but my local B&M has been a life saver for the stocking fillers and essentials this year.

I think we will all appreciate the time together this year and celebrate in a more low key and as safe a way as possible 💕

What Tier will you be in Or is it different in Wales?
We will be in tier 2 so the shops will all be open and I think they will be crazy
The candle website is called the little melt studio
My stepson lives in Cardiff ( DH is from Cardiff) but we are not sure if we will be going there before Christmas, DH is not keen.
I used to go to Cardiff for work and pleasure but we haven’t been since this all started.
Our Christmas theme this year will be traditional when we get it finished I’ll post a pic , last year it was cocktail glass with a big coloured light straw and two hanging baskets tied together to make a big cocktail cherry with red lights.
The top was white lights and the ‘stem’was green.
We actually start talking about it around September and someone asked DH yesterday when we are doing it

A traditional theme seems perfect for this year, can’t wait to see it. The cocktail glass sounds amazing, what a clever idea.
No tiers here in Wales but there are tighter restrictions coming in at the end of next week, which will mean cinemas and bowling venues closing and new tight restrictions on bars and restaurants (not sure what they will be yet, we find out Monday) Shops are all open too. I’ve heard Cardiff was crazy busy today and last night (many out drinking this weekend before restrictions next weekend)so I think it’s safer to stay away for now

I'm getting to feel Christmassy, we've put the tree and decorations up early and I have all the presents bought and some wrapped.
I've been watching xmas films and buying xmas treats etc to put away the last few times I've been shopping, and have an M&S order for 23rd, but wont need anywhere near as much food or drinks in this year due to not having friends or family coming round.
We need to post a box of presents up to DS and family, as we won't see them. There will be us two, my dad, and DD (who will stay at ours over Christmas / Boxing day) - we usually have a quiet xmas day, and the only other people we'll see really are my brother and sis in law who are coming round one day for nibbles and presents.
I'm going to buy a turkey, xmas pud, crackers etc to keep for whenever DS can get down - even if it's not till easter! and we'll have a full xmas dinner again.

I hope you are feeling well again now. Such a shame you won’t get to see your DS this Christmas, but it’s a good idea to get the turkey and have another Christmas when he comes home next. Gives you something to look forward to. We always FaceTime our son in Vietnam every Christmas Day and have a catch up with his day (as it’s nearly over for him by the time we chat) It’s not the same as him being here, but it’s still lovely to hear from him and I’m sure you will do the same with your son 💕

Thanks, I'm well but no taste or smell yet (3 weeks now). We'll all be in contact at Xmas, we never see them at actual Xmas so that's no different - we usually swap presents the week before, so hopefully we'll see them opening them virtually!
