British Airways Holidays or Virgin

Having always flown Virgin I am thinking of booking British Airways. Is there much difference? Can anyone recommend British Airways. I guess it is mainly the flight and transfer experience to the resort that I am concerned about.
TIA

I fly BA every year, have also flown Virgin.
BA cheaper and I am more than happy with the booking, staff, journey experience.
Just to add I seem to be reading a lot of problems people are having with Virgin at the moment, which would worry me if I was booked with them during this time.

Both operate a tin tube to MCO and they do what it says on the tin. For the majority its cost driven.

A bad flight does not equal a bad airline and a good flight does not equal a good airline...necessarily.

At MCO you can ME into WDW for at least the first night, or car hire of course.

We've never booked a package holiday with BA or Virgin but I have bored people on here for years saying exactly as D332 has.

It's a 9 hour bus ride in a tin tube and neither of them is so good or so bad that I would only ever use one or the other. Only £££ counts for us. In fact I supported Thomas Cook on here for years for the same reason and what could possibly go wrong

But as I say I know nothing about how they handle the rest of the holiday as we book everything separately.

Don't forget you'll only have a choice (in England) with VS from MAN or LHR now. With BA it could be LHR or LGW - who knows.

If you compare like for like (Fly/Drive) Virgin is way more expensive.

With BA the flight is reasonable and the car hire includes all the insurances you need.

Virgin flights are similar price, maybe a touch higher, but the car hire has a rip off element of additional car insurance.

I would pick BA as the future for Virgin Atlantic is a lot less clear.
Never had a bad experience with BA whereas with VH in the past they kicked us out of our confirmed UC seats from GLA with no real explanation as to why.

We’ve flown with both and not really noticed a great deal of distance. BA tend to come out cheaper we find although we should of flown with Virgin last week as we got a good deal with them.
But as other people have said, it’s a posh bus for 9 hours

The only caveat I'll add on costs is seat reservation in PE on VS or BA.

And I will add please that we like determination of where we sit when we book - I know all about choice at 72 hours or whatever

We had paid around £1,400 for two PE seats with TC for our April trip. On the day that TC went bust last September we researched both VS and BA. BA were around £1,600 and VS £1,800 but of course you add around £50 per seat per flight to BA PE and they ended up near enough the same.

We chose VS simply for the DS check-in.

We got our TC money back on our CC within 3 weeks. What could possibly go wrong?

We prefer a direct flight into Orlando so the main reason I used to choose Virgin over BA is that I can fly direct from Manchester with Virgin but not with BA. We live 45 mins from Manchester but 3 or 4 hours from Gatwick, on a good day. That drive isn't so bad on the way out, but hellish on the way back!

We used to fly Virgin, but changed a few years sgo to the BA/Aer Lingus/American Airlines flighrs.
Sorry to say, but with all the reductions Virgin had already made, the BA holidays us our preferred way now.

Plus Virgins prices are now ridiculous for business class
