May 2021?

Hi Everyone

Just after some tips and info please about travelling in May.

Myself and 3 fellow community nurses have decided we need to reward ourselves for all working so hard through the present pandemic. (we need something to look forward to) , so are planning a cheeky week in May next year, without our hubbies
Is there a better time in May to travel or is there any weeks to avoid?

We have all visited before but not one of us in May.

Thanks for you help, stay safe xx

We went last year in the middle two weeks of May. At the back end of our holiday it was heading towards Memorial Day, the Thursday and Friday was noticeably busier than the previous week.

The weather was fantastic, just one stormy evening on the day we arrived and then a stormy morning on another day.

We did experience a few 'Love bugs', but you get used to them... my 3 year old did not! LOL

I’ve been a few times in may. I’ve been there for Memorial Day, however we tend to avoid magic kingdom on weekends so we haven’t really noticed any difference.
Apart from September/October it’s my preferred time to go.

We went the last week of May first week of June last year and it was great. (School hols)
The love bugs had gone by then, had one night of rain but warm and sunny the rest of the time.
Was t especially busy, although we just did universal.
We were booked to go again this year but that all got cancelled. Just waiting for flights to be released so can book for next year.
Uk school hols start 29th May next year so I would go for the 3rd week, this way you should avoid the love bugs, school hols and Memorial Day.

Always go first two weeks of May ! Weathers good, crowds aren't too bad and prices are reasonable !

Also seem to miss most of the Spring Break parties !

Firstly thanks to you and your colleagues for what you have been doing.

May is a great time to go, we visit late April/May and have nearly always had good weather, sometimes a drop of rain, but only the occasional full day. Temps are usually excellent in th e 80s although we have it hotter.

My advice would be to avoid the last weekend, Memorial Day weekend, when it goes mad.

We normally go first 2 weeks of May and we’ve rebooked for the first 2 weeks next year.
