Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom
Hi, going in August and considering booking the dessert party at magic Kingdom. I was thinking of the Plaza Garden option rather than the Tomorrowland Terrace. Has anyone been and could you give me any feedback? I have read there's a before and after which I assume means you eat the desserts before or after the fireworks. Is there a better one to do? I'm assuming before as I can't imagine eating a load of desserts that late in the evening. I've chosen a EMH night and we are planning on making the most of it. Thank you.

Hi, I have booked the Garden Plaza one for April, I have never done it but read loads of reviews and watched some VLOGS on you tube.
We have gone for the desserts before firework, What I have worked out from doing the research it looks like you get a better view from the garden plaza. I can do a review once I have been in April. But there are loads of reviews on trip adviser and lots of videos to watch on you tube to get an idea,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've read the garden is a better view than Tomorrowland terrace as that can be a more restricted view. I think I'd prefer to go for desserts before can I ask what time you booked is it 7.45pm?

Garden plaza is the better view, but it’s not seated, so a free for all.
If it was not evening EMH I would go for the after party. That way you can get your spot in the garden and miss the crowds as they leave the park whilst you enjoy the desserts. Because it is EMH though and you want to take advantage of these do the before.

Wigan Lass thanks that's what I was thinking. Have you done the plaza garden? When you say a free for all I assume it's still a decent view?Seen some pictures with people sitting on the floor looks like plenty of space as opposed to being on Main Street?

I have done plaza garden but it was in 2017 before the after party started.
It was lovely. Lots of space and a great view. I have read recent reviews though that bemoan the lack of space...which could be due to adding in the after party and overselling the garden. Perhaps someone who has been in the garden recently could say how busy it was

We went to the Tomorrowland Terrace one a few weeks ago. I’d take the slight angle any day as long as I can stay seated!
The queue started to form over an hour before the dessert party start time but we arrived 10 minutes before and still got a great view, I think the people that got there earlier got a better view of the projections. |

Thanks for your replies. Beth_Disney I've read that unless you're in the front row there's an overhang from the roof and some obstruction from trees? Your view looks lovely mind.

3 of us went last Aug doing Plaza Gdns. We arrived in queue for 7.45pm. Once checked in you're given a band and are then taken to your reserved table for the evening. We were not by the window but next one in, so had a good view of the Castle!
A CM shows you what's available etc and then you help yourselves, multiple visits. Mostly sweet treats but a couple of savoury dishes. Desserts etc were LOVELY, really enjoyed the experience. We had torrential rain all evening so stayed inside until 9pm. You have to go to another desk outside who see your band and you walk to the gardens. More CMs check yr band and then you go in to watch HEA. Plenty of room as it was raining, fireworks were delayed until 9.30pm, we were lucky they weren't cancelled! They were brilliant, got to see all we wanted. I'd do it again for a special treat as long as price was ok. |

We've done both the terrace seating and Plaza Gardens.
Unfortunately when we did the terrace seating it had been raining and they'd pulled the tables back so the view wasn't very good. The Plaza Gardens was much better we've done this twice now and will do it again in the future.
