We got a fly drive for £2400 for 4 adults from gla to mco indirect. We were there 23rd Dec - 2nd Jan. booked it first week in April with BA.

As messages above - planning is key. We’re going again this year - just waiting for prices to be what I’m willing to pay !

As posters say, planning will be key. I did Xmas and new year in 2005 and never again. Didn't put me off the area and parks as been 6 times since but they were hugely busy 15yrs ago and can only have got busier since.

Just be prepared for the manic crowds, it should be quieter until around 21st Dec so fit any rides that you really want to do then. But then gets a bit crazy after that with people arriving for Christmas. Have a think about visiting another park on Christmas Day other than MK as it is still magical in the other parks but far less crowded, which may ruin the experience for you and if you're there for new year, Epcot have a fab party to bring the new year in. If you want to do MK on Christmas Day or New year then get there super early as the park can hit capacity early and book those food reservations and fast passes as soon as you can.

Just a side note but we now try and go around the start of December, the weather is great, the decorations are up and MVMCP is on so we get all the fun of Christmas but without the crowds.
