It was a Mickey pants sink at the Beach Club. There's just the two of us so no way could we manage the full size Kitchen Sink, but we had no trouble polishing this off - just a glorified ice cream sundae really

To be fair, what BA have agreed to is simply what you’re entitled to.

We had similar at Christmas; originally indirect flights from LHR as £700 cheaper than the direct LGW-TPA flights.
One of our internal AA flights was cancelled so called BA & requested that we be moved to the direct flights.
No problem they said, your automatic right when BA/AA cancels a flight is being able to move onto any other flight by them in both directions (direct or indirect) as long as the original & new airports are within 300 miles of each other.

You can also choose to have a full refund.

In addition, as they were also in a sale period, the price had gone down & they gave £200 back to us! So, we got our preferred flights for £900 less than we’d have had to pay for them originally.

However, some call centre staff don’t volunteer that info to you!
Good result.
