Speculation is pointless and counter productive.

I wish the Family well and hope the investigation is successful and if appropriate and based on the evidence available that a conviction ensues.

The German Police are claiming to have evidence against this man and are very close to bringing the case. I think because he is already in prison they have the time to do a more thorough investigation. He apparently confessed to a friend when drinking
The Ben Needham case, a man who was a builder on the neighbouring property at the time confessed to accidentally killing Ben on his death bed - he said he ran him over in a digger and buried the body.

I spent a year with the SIB (Military Police) in 2012, investigating the disappearance of Katrice Lee after retiring from the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary.

Katrice, the daughter of a British Army Staff Sgt , disappeared on her second birthday from the Schloss Neuhaus NAAFI in Sennelager, Germany on 28 November 1981.

The job has haunted me ever since, like no other investigation that I have ever been involved in. I just hope that one day, Mr and Mrs Lee get closure. They have thus far been waiting 38 years. In the initial stages, they were failed miserably.

That job remains live to this day. I urge you to research it.

For once why don't we just have a thread where we all hope for a successful outcome, not finger point or be negative as seems to have become the norm on here.

I'm sure we all want this to have an end result, the parents have gone through hell and need closure even if it's not the result they want. Tom this might sound like speculating but I'm really only after opinions, surely unless this suspect opens up and talks then after all this time there will be very little evidence to be able to charge him .

I am totally bemused at the fact that it is this story which has kicked Covid-19 off the headlines.
Children go missing every day in the UK and other countries. Why this has stayed in the public domain and with public funding is a strange one to me.
That’s all I wish to say on this subject.
