Also cocktails are included on the dining plan, again not in a souvenir glass but does include the glowtini type drinks with a glow cube. Your server will be really clear with you what is excluded. In my experience there is actually very little excluded, vast majority of what you see on the menu can be ordered.

Last summer on QS dining yes. We were a party of 6 with 4 of us aged over 21 and 2 teens. One adult may order 2 alcoholic drinks, I've very rarely been asked for ID and even more rarely who the other drink is for. I always carry my photo driving licence and a copy of my passport and same for my DH, but like I said rarely had to show these. We were on the dining plan therefore I would order a soft drink, sprite etc as a snack credit for my kids and then ordered alcoholic drink as the drink for each meal. But yes you could pay OOP for a soft drink, also you can get cups of water for free with any meal.

There are no places to refill your mugs in parks or springs, only resort hotels. However, some people take them to parks to put water or soda in. Personally we prefer to not take a bag with us and just use the cups in park and throw away when we are finished.

You will find others who think it is a waste of a snack credit as typically drinks are much cheaper than most food snacks. And I suppose it is in monetary terms as one snack credit could buy you an ice cream sundae for around $6 or it could buy you a soda for around $3. But we always struggle to use all the snack credits and I would far rather use them during the trip than pay oop and then end up with snack credits left at the end of the trip and bringing home lots of candy. Although we still seem to manage to bring home bags of candy even with using the snacks for drinks.

My daughter is 21 but doesn't drink so could me and DH use our alcoholic credits plus hers and pay for her soft drink out of pocket? Sometimes one drink is never enough!
