Take a look at The Marine Court hotel in Ilfracombe , we have visited twice now , it's one of our favourites , a little pub over the road and a short walk down to the harbour ,restaurants, shops and some lovely walks . The reviews are spot on , can't fault it .

Tell me more...I have a possibly maybe might be slightly significant birthday this year and am looking for somewhere DH and I ca go alone, but we won’t leave DD for a long time. He’s been banging on about Croatia for bloody ages so this sounds like it might fit the bill..

When, where, how hot! (How much!)

I did a mini trippie when we came back, sorry I'm rubbish at finding the link. We flew Southend to Dubrovnik booked accommodation on booking.com. The weather was perfect and 3 nights spot on. My friend who I went with has horses so can't go away for long. Croatia is stunning.

We stayed in a small apartment fairly basic but stunning views and a lovely couple who owed it. Apartments rooms & rose.
We both have a very significant birthday later this year so I've booked us another trip we are doing the Vienna Christmas market this year.

Really don't fancy a cruise and probably doesn't help that I get motion sickness.

Will try and have a look at some of the other recommendations. I'm useless at planning anything non-Florida!

I’ve just booked a mini break to Hamburg, we also liked Prague
What about Paris, can still get your Disney fix or Barcelona and a day out to portaventura x
