(They were right about half the cost of going from Manchester too. Last time we flew it was about £800 per adult during the Easter hols)
we try and go every year if we can, we went to spain in august last year in school holidays and did some caravanning, florida for us on a yearly basis would be unaffordable in holidays , unpopular choice I know.,

They wont regulate prices and why should they?

I had to suffer the pain of school holiday prices when my lad was at school - now he's an adult I dont have to.

What if when yours are no-longer of school age they "even out the playing field" and then you will end up paying more anyway.

those of us that have served our "time" dont want regulation!

Sorry to be a party pooper

Who is "they" ?

It's supply and demand so you may be waiting rather a long time

For me life it works. My youngest is only 3 my eldest 8 so I’ve a good 15 years of probably going in school holidays 😱😂

We’ve been stuck to school holidays for longer than that - with still another 4 years to go. Just one of those things when we choose to have kids.

I am looking forward to the cheaper term time holidays though - I don’t want them to cost the same all year round.

It’s up to you when you decide to go.

I was merely pointing out that the flights were during the cheaper term time - and congratulating Smilesonfaces for guessing right (well, close enough).
