Mobile Just ordered some dollars!

We are going to Orlando 18th May, just ordered £1000 worth of dollars from Covent Garden FX at 1.31. Good or bad decision people?

We don’t go for another 300+ days and are buying on a monthly basis as that way the fluctuations in the exchange rate should even out. I think 1.31 is good though

That is a rather difficult question I bought on 21 Feb at 1.2854 and thought it a good deal. Fortunately, like Ericsmum, I have more to buy and am hopefully evening it out.
Easter of 2017 I Moaned about 1.198
Easter of 2018 I was happier with 1.41
A year later and the average over the past months has been 1.27 to 1.31.

I got some too, and we go in September.
I got the same rate as when we went to California in 2017 so was pretty happy with that. Now I'll wait and gamble on getting the rest, but just wanted to get some while the rate is as good as it has been for months

Decided it's a no lose situation. Will probably spend £2k or so in 2 weeks - hedging against it going down and if it goes up then we're better off anyway.

We go end of June but decided to order £1000 worth today. We've still got $1200 left over from the last visit (goodness knows how we managed that! ) so a decent head start of just over $2500 for five of us for 21 days, although a day at DC will cost us nothing, and we'll not spend much on travel days, so probably equates to 19 days.

I have been feeling very twitchy about this today and thinking i should get some. We don't know, we could be right we could be wrong, hedging bets and getting some i do feel is the best thing!
