BA or Virgin for a 13 month old?
Hey,
Has anyone got any first hand experience travelling with these airlines? I have read that once booked with BA, they will reserve you bulk head seats for free, whereas with Virgin, it's the luck of the draw and you need to wait until checking in at the airport. Is this info correct? Thanks!

I travelled with BA when my middle son was 18 months, and am doing so again next month with my youngest who will be just about to turn 2. The whole party gets seat reservations for free as soon as you book, I was automatically allocated a bulkhead seat. They also have toddler seats that go on huge bulkhead, they look a bit like a big bouncy chair, so as long as the seatbelt sign isn't on they have somewhere to sit apart from being on your knee the whole time, whereas virgin I believe just have the cot

When we flew VA in 2015 I was told Sky cots were allocated on a first come first served. I'd assume this would be the same with them for all bulk head seats allocated for infants.
You don't know which seats you have been allocated though until check in. With an infant you also can't do online check in but when it was time to I was able to see our seats then. |
