Seaworld - New Annual Passes - Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum

I have noticed that Seaworld have just launched their replacement annual passes with different names, prices and benefits.

seaworld/orlando/annual-pass/

Has anyone else had a look at this and what are your thoughts ?

I've normally gone for the Fun Cards but I'm thinking that these have now been replaced with the 'Silver' passes, but not immediately obvious.

The Fun Cards were always valid for the whole calendar year (and usually the end of the year you buy them in too), so the 12 month passes won't work out as well for me.

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

The blockout dates for the Bronze pass are a bit strange. They seem to be all over the place, albeit mostly at weekends. I wonder whether "March 15 – 22" is supposed to read "April 15 – 22" (it comes after the other April date and covers Easter).

For those who are happy to visit Seaworld on a weekday, the Bronze pass works out at just under £100 for a year's entry.

I'm not sure what you mean? The 12 month passes will last longer than the Fun Cards. They'll last until the end of the calendar year that you buy them in and beyond.

Or are you referring to the fact that the introductory offer only lasts until the end of this November?

Yes, the blockout dates are wrong. March is listed twice with two separate dates, and April is already listed. Hopefully they will correct this soon.

The Fun Cards usually come out in November for the year before. The '2018' Fun Cards came out in November 2017, so were valid for the remainder of 2017 and the entire 2018. As I go around November/December this pass would cover me for the two holidays. The new pass is for 12 months from the date of purchase, so would expire before next November/Decembers holiday.

Ah I see. I never knew the Fun Cards came out in November for the whole of the next year.

Thanks for clarifying.

anyone got experience of the 'free guest' perk on these annual passes? As a family of 5 I am thinking we'd only need to buy 2 Gold annual passes to cover us all for entry? Or is that just wishful thinking?

Think I found the answer to my question, yes as long as you go on the dates listed below:

Florida Silver Annual Passes receive 1 free guest ticket to be used only at 1 park of your Florida park(s) of membership, excluding Discovery Cove. Florida Gold and Florida Platinum Annual Passes receive 2 free guest tickets to be used at 2 parks of your Florida parks of membership, excluding Discovery Cove. Parking not included. The Pass Member must be with the guest for entry to the park. Free guest ticket not valid for visitation during the following 2018 blockout dates: Oct. 1-31, Nov. 19-25, Dec. 1-31 and 2019 blockout dates: March 1-April 30, June 1-July 31, Oct. 1-31, Nov. 25-Dec. 31. Tickets must be used on the day printed.

Free tickets will be issued as a Reward at the kiosk located at the park (Zone A) - Silver, Gold, and Platinum Pass Members will:
• Select Pass Member Options
• Scan the Annual Pass
• Select Rewards and Tickets
• Choose the Free Guest Ticket(s)
• Checkout and take printed ticket to Zone C for park entry

Tickets must be used on the day printed. Redeem reward on day of use only and not on a blockout date. Lost or stolen rewards cannot be reprinted and will not be replaced. Pass Member must be present with guest upon entry
