Upgrading Universal tickets?

Hi!

So not even been on our holiday in May 2019 yet but already wondering when we can go back

I was thinking of a quick week in September next year...just doing Universal and then I came across a post on facebook saying in the park you can upgrade your 14 day ticket to an Annual Pass?

I was just wondering if anyone knows the cost of this, it would be really handy to do this if we did want to go back in September.

We have booked through VH and have the Universal 3 Park Explorer ticket - is this even possible to upgrade from this if bought through a TA?

Yes just go to guest services. You pay the difference between your ticket and the AP cost. Just watch the block out dates of the different pass levels.

Can't help on the upgrade as just always had APs but September isn't normLly a black out month x
Plus in September its pass holder appreciation month so normally they do special nights and offers for pass holders

No block out for any AP next September or year after.

It cost is $60 approx last week to do this. We upgraded a 3 park 14 day ticket to a 3 park seasonal pass. This doesn't give you parking or discounts just access to the park. It was around $100 for the upgrade to the one with 50% off parking and around $150 for the one that had free parking.

As said there are black out dates but these are Christmas (22nd-3rd this year and 21st-3rd next), Easter (April 12th-27th and 3rd-18th next) and all of July.

Just to note you can now only upgrade to the same type of ticket i.e. if you have a 14 day 3 park ticket you have to upgrade to a 3 park annual
