Booked with AA but flying BA - who should I check in with?
We're flying on Saturday direct to MCO with BA but the tickets were booked with AA via netflights. I can see our booking on both websites and our seat allocation on the BA app. So does it matter who I check in online with?
Also, am I right in thinking we take our bags to the BA desk on Friday night? Thanks! |

You are correct, it will be BA desks (there won't be any AA desks at LGW). In almost all cases (including yours), you check in / drop bags with the operating carrier on codeshares.
Edit - and yes, you check in online with BA. If you try with AA, it will either not let you, or pass you through to BA site anyway. Edited at 04:47 PM. |

Thanks!
Do you think it will be the same on the way back as we have an internal flight with AA and then BA back to the UK. Should we head to the AA desk at MCO? |

Yes, it will be AA desks at MCO since AA operates your first flight on the return. If you check in online on the return, you can sometimes have issues with it with a mixture of AA/BA flights and codeshares, you may have to check in separately on the two websites. Sometimes it works with one, sometimes it doesn't.
Either way, the AA desks at MCO will be able to issue boarding passes for both flights. Enjoy the trip. |
