Just the 2 of us but hadn't pre-booked seats for our flight tomorrow. On check-in, have been allocated 2 seats in a row of 2 for both flights.
That's with BA.

We went to South Africa in August this year, we booked in May booked seat selection for 3, daughter myself and my mum. Very surprised to find hardly any choice. Ended up in 5 th to last row. Coming home a bit better row 27. No I wasn’t happy having to pay extra on top of the £870 each but family glad to be together.

Well I’ve used money and Avios to pay for seats going. I’ve booked economy seats further forward at £59 each, to try to get off the plane that tiny bit quicker...we all know what the MCO customs queue is like!

Still debating whether to chance it coming home...we’ll all be depressed anyway so...

We have just booke South Africa for next September and can pre-book for free as DH is Gold card with work but the choice of seats is really poor. Always manage to get good seats on BA to MCO. Even before the gold card we were never split up, our seats were always allocated together.
