I got it and I was downgraded 330 days before the flight

was also give the option to cancel without penalty and move days.

We are flight only shelle. Really glad you have managed to get sorted. Which number did you manage to get success on? From your comment I take it you have managed to move the flight and not had to pay any extra?

I'm glad you got sorted at no extra cost. We must have been very lucky on Wednesday, got through on email phone number, spoke to someone who changed our flight to the next day so we kept premium and no more to pay. It shows as extra amount on email, but this is then shown as minus amount.

Yes, I think you were. Unless I'm just extremely unlucky! Every time I rang the number on the email they said they dealt with packages only and I needed to call the airline. 11 calls in all and 7hours of my time. I wouldn't do it for any other holiday!

of course they will try to wiggle out of it as there is loads of wiggle room in the rules, but downgrade is downgrade at 330 days or at the gate

I was of the belief (incorrectly it seems) that you were only eligible at the gate as airline couldn't give you any alternative options.

The compo is for the downgrade irrespective of when it occurs as the effect is still the same. As papamouse said, compo cannot be claimed until after the flight as you have not been downgraded until your bum hits that (lower than booked class) seat.
