I really don’t get this or how it works. Could anyone please explain?

Adr day is officially 15th March but curious as to how this works

If you are staying on site it means that 180 days before your holiday commences you may book the first ten days of ADRs. If you are staying offsite, then it is not relevant.

So if you only have one night on site does this still apply.

To give a worked example, we arrive on 2 August, staying onsite. 180 days before our arrival day was last Saturday 3 Feb, so we were able to book our ADRs for meals on 2 Aug (180 days out). and meals on 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 th , using our ability to book +10 after our holiday start (although in reality - some days we booked 2 meals, character breakfast and a nice dinner and others we didnt book any!)
I wanted to book a meal for 14th (essentially a +12 day) so had to wait until Mon ie another 2 days to make that ADR.

No. You can book the first 10 days or length of stay if shorter than 10 days. If you stay longer than 10 days each subsequent day opens up then next day.
