Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway Is Coming To Universal Orlando

inline imageUniversal Orlando Resort and Virgin Holidays have joined forces to help bring the 2018 season of the award-winning Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway to an end with a bang! Ant and Dec will broadcast live for the seventh and final show of the series at Universal Orlando, with spectacular stunts, star guests and lots of surprises in-store for this epic episode.
  • This April, Ant and Dec will host their biggest ever series finale with a spectacular party-themed-broadcast live from Universal Orlando Resort
  • You can win a hotly contested seat on the Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway plane by visiting the Virgin Holidays website

The celebration kicked off on Saturday's show (24th Feb) when Ant and Dec shared the amazing news!

Over 200 lucky prize winners will be part of the audience in Florida for a seven-night stay on-site at Universal Orlando Resort, winning a place on a specially chartered plane, courtesy of Virgin Holidays and access to Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway finale.

2018 is already an exciting year for Universal Orlando with yet more new content being launched, in addition to over 25 new guest experiences that have opened since 2010. Universal's sixth on-site hotel – Universal's Aventura Hotel – will welcome guests from August this year and it is the one year anniversary of Universal's Volcano Bay water theme park.

Alison Montague, vice president & managing director, sales & marketing, EMEA Universal Parks & Resorts, commented: "We're thrilled that our epic destination, Universal Orlando Resort, is to host this season's larger-than-life finale with Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway! We're working closely with our partners at Virgin Holidays, to deliver an amazing opportunity for viewers of this laughter fuelled series, to have the chance to win a place at this spectacular event coming live from Universal Orlando on April 7th. We believe that together we form the perfect combination for their audience."

Joe Thompson, Managing Director of Virgin Holidays, commented: "Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays have been bringing hundreds of thousands of British families to Universal Orlando Resort since they first opened their doors. We are pulling out all the stops to ensure this experience knocks the socks off everyone who is lucky enough to experience it live and of course to the millions more watching from home."

Universal Orlando Resort and Virgin Holidays are offering one lucky winner a hotly contested seat on the Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway plane – including seven nights' accommodation at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, complimentary park access to all three Universal Orlando theme parks, tickets to Blue Man Group and seats to the live finale! For details on how to enter, simply visit virginholidays/saturday-night-takeaway

Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway started on 24th February and runs for seven weeks every Saturday night on ITV.

Just one seat to be won?

(Actually, on the website it says up to 4 seats)

I know I'm being really picky, but it's a pity the winner stays at Sapphire Falls and not one of the deluxe resorts with free Express passes.

I will have to check with the OH to see if we are going to Universal that day.
Last April, we were staying in Encantada when Ant & Dec were in Disney and our property mangers had front rows seats due to their Disney contacts, so were in several close ups!

I understand that the show is being filmed live from City Walk not inside either Universal or IOA

Now that is REALLY looking a gifthorse in the mouth... but if any winners feel SF is beneath them I will be happy to go in your place

It will all be over and packed away by the evening. It's shot live, so filming starts around 2pm (for a 7pm UK start).

Last year they built a stage with tiered audience seating, so I'm guessing they'll do a similar sort of thing. You couldn't see if standing behind the seating, but you could see from the side and back of the stage (although you see them from behind if you do that) as it was left open so they could film with Main Street and the castle in the background.

The seating area is for the winners, plus people who successfully applied for audience tickets (plus some big wigs, I'm sure). We got audience tickets, as did some other dibbers, and had a great time. The audience tickets for the live show were handled by The Applause Store.

Once it was finished, they packed down surprisingly quickly and anyone coming in that evening wouldn't have even been aware that it had even be there.
