Flew from Edinburgh to Dublin stayed overnight at the Premier Inn. Following day flew Dublin to MCO via Charlotte with American Airlines. Pre clearance was great, AA were excellent (PE) and flight times were very good, 0950 departure from Dublin, 1630 arrival at MCO. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

We used to fly direct from Manchester and always went down the night before which incurred the cost of a hotel close to the airport. However, the 4hr drive home when you get back was the killer.
We therefore bit the bullet 3 years ago and started flying direct from Glasgow with Virgin as it meant a 1.5hr drive back home. The first 2 times we flew from Glasgow we booked direct with virgin holidays during their boxing day sale and got a better price this way than booking flights/hotel/car separately. This year we booked the flight direct with Virgin Atlantic on 3rd January as they had the better prices and the prices quoted then were cheaper than boxing day. We ended up paying around £489 each for return flights (economy out and premium eco back). I price watch regularly and find that the best prices for the direct flights with Virgin are if you book 8-9 months prior to when you want to travel.
