Mobile Thomas Cook Airtanker IFE

Hi,

Apologies as I know there are already a lot of threads on this!
We fly on Thursday from Manchester to Orlando with TC (MT 2752), I’m aware we’re on an air tanker but I have been trying to establish if we’ll have seat back IFE or not. From what I’ve read on here I thought we had seatback IFE (the whole plane is economy with the front row being 2-4-2), however I asked on the Thomas cook live chat today and was told that we only have overhead streaming.

Was wondering if anyone could help me find out which is correct? I guess it’s not a huge deal but would like to find out before we go!

Thanks!

You are on G-VYGK which is the first Air Tanker Thomas Cook leased and has seat back IFE.

I'm on it too... I apologise in advance for the 9 hours of screaming kids 😂

Does anyone know if it's a standard headphone port?

Is there a page where you can see this information or do you have someone on the inside

There’s a page on the thomascook airlines website, look for partner airlines.

Are there any Air Tankers which do not have seat back IFE and are solely overhead IFE? Also, do we have a link to any Air Tanker cabin photos?

There is one that has no IFE, you can download their app prior to flying. I was on it last october, nice enough plane, flight went pretty quick and I didn't really bother watching much.

Back in the day, when I was a kid, we had no IFE. What did we do? Colored in, played with my barbies, or whatever toy my parents let me bring. I do feel kids these days are spoiled by technology. If I was lucky I got to bring my tamagotchi...

I see you're point but there is that awkward age where some kids won't colour and want/need a movie or whatever to pass the time. It's rare I'll finish a movie on a flight, I just get bored and look out of the window or listen to music/pod casts. I do find it poor in this day and age that they offer flights with zero seat back entertainment for a long-haul flight, though it's only a means of getting to your destination and we have the luxury of choice if you pay for it.

Yes there is "that age", but I was also that age. IFE wasn't really popular until I was in my teens. We flew long haul at least twice a year.

I still think kids are spoiled by it all.
