When you fly this route do you clear customs at Gatwick or Glasgow. Just wondered if you have to get your cases and re drop them as the stop over is only 1 hr 30 on the flight I'm looking at.

You clear passport control at Gatwick then follow the exit signs then you need to go back through security
Your luggage will be checked all the wsy through to Glasgow then you go through customs no need to pick bags up in Gatwick |

We did this last year for the Edinburgh version of the BA flight. Had plenty of time to get through immigration etc to get to the flight home. Looking at a different route home next year if possible, with a NYC stop and land direct into Edinburgh, if possible depending on price.
