Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale mon oct 22nd help

We are flying out with American Airlines and trying to find out when we can check in . Anybody flown this route and can help us.

You should be able to check in on the AA website at anytime. We are out here now and flew AA via Dublin and checked in early. Is it a AA plane or a codeshare with BA?

It's a AA flight but we have to go on back website as it's from Gatwick and AA don't fly from Gatwick.its operated by B A

Yes if direct it is the BA plane (BA2169) that flys gatwick to FLL. They codeshare with AA Iberia and Finnair. You check-in on the BA website (although somecodeshares may just switch you to the BA site). You need to get the BA ref from the AA booking to do this. With BA you can check-in 24 hours before. Gatwick also has bag drop open the night before from 16:00-22:00 so you can get rid of the bags the night before if staying at a hotel.

ALso worth noting that the BA hand luggage allowance is the one you need to follow which is slightly better than AA.
