Virgin Holidays $200 spend

Right so wanted to check, do we get a Disney gift card for this $200 spend and where do we pick it up?

Our friends have booked with vh, they only get $100, they was told they need to pick up at airport in orlando. Last thing you want to do after 9hrs flying, 2hrs in immigration , collect luggage, then wait to pick up gift card while everyone else is choosing their car. Bit of a sales gimmick if you ask me so they can sell you more. Might be worth it for $200

It’s a gift card you collect at the airport from the Virgin reps on level 1 A side. Only takes a few moments to pick it up. If you’re getting the Magical Express it could be easier for one of you to go down and get it while the others wait with the luggage as Magical Express is on B side.

That’s what I intend on doing next year, leave my mum with all the cases near B side and go get the gift card.

My plan too. It does seem a little convoluted. Not sure why VH can’t position someone nearer to DME but never mind. I’ll run down whilst wife waits with cases

It’s a right faff on when you have children and cases in tow.
Agree leave them all with cases and one person go in search.
Why they just don’t send to your hotel (they know who hasn’t chosen a car) is beyond me.
I seriously think they hope you won’t collect

That's exactly what we did when we booked with VH. I left husband, children and cases at the seating area near the fountain on level 3 and went and picked it up myself. Only took about 5-10 minutes, and then I was back with them and we were on our way.

At least those of you who book with Virgin are already in the place they're collected from. Those of us who book with Disney direct have to collect them from World of Disney in Disney Springs which is a right pain as it's not a place I'd choose to go to. So in the evening of my first full day I caught to bus to DS, got the gift card then caught a bus back to POFQ.

That’s what I had to do last year, as weren’t visiting DS until a few days in.

It's like they make you collect it from the biggest Disney shop in the world for a reason or something
