Is it true that if you are a DVC member you get extra fastpass+ options?

No, as above, no extra FP for DVC members.
I think what you may have heard is that if you do a DVC tour (sales pitch) then as an enticement they will often give you up to 3 “one off” fastpasses and sometimes a disney gift for having attended.
