I changed our dates last week and it was really easy, just call the number for them and they will amend them if there is availability. As previously mentioned if the booking is more expensive they waive the fee but if it is the same price or cheaper they charge you £50. Took a few days to change on my Disney experience but I got an amended invoice later the same day.

I changed my booking this week to increase it and there was still an amendment charge on each room

Definitely ring back, that's a mistake.
I just changed my booking today on the phone from a 5 bed standard room to a 4 bed at CBR. At the same time I upgraded to the regular dining plan (had been waiting for the cheaper rooms to be available). No charges were made for the change as expected.

Do you definitely get charged if there's no change to the price regardless of circumstances? I need to move mine as Norwegian have brought my flight forward a day. Now wondering if it's better to add on an extra night as a separate booking to save the £50 but obviously the night will cost more than that so maybe I should just live with it.

Yes you still need to pay. You could explain the situation and hope for a sympathetic CM but I suspect they have no flexibility.

I've had a brainwave. It turns out there is availability at the Gran Destino tower on the new last night of our stay, and the standard water view rooms only cost £9 more than the Preferred I currently have booked. So assuming switching room type for one night won't mess up my free dining, think this might be a way round paying the amendment fee and might even end up with a fireworks view.
Anyone done anything like this with upgrading just one night while they had free dining? |
