You're quite right! Fingers crossed the rest of the state will follow soon enough

I remember reading that trippie too. It sticks in my mind as Bill and I were in Miami that same year, so it must have been 2009 or earlier. Can't quite remember who it was though

LONG overdue! This is the 21st Century for heaven sake. Still waiting to see how the UK Government intend to turn our Civil Partnership into marriage.

Sounds like an airline! Yes.We have made initial contact with the Registrar in our borough - seems we know more than they do! Apparently if sorted in first 12 months there is no fee. We won't undergo another ceremony - just merely sign some forms. Our "marriage" was just the way we wanted it with declarations and readings either written or chosen by us and an exchnage of rings. Will have a little celebration though when we do the signing. The CP cost a fortune when we did with over 40 family members and friends present back in 2006.

Hope you two have a glorious day once you get it all organised!

Thanks lovely :-) we did it the opposite way around - tiny CP (because we wanted a baby and it is messy for same sex couples without a CP) and will likely have a big wedding
