Just back yesterday..Highs and lows.

We go every Christmas and New Year..this years highs and lows.

Highs..Arkvilla on Highgate Park, our second stay here and we love it,it feels just like home, highly recommend it.

Pacifica from Alamo again..fab car with heated massaging seats (and yes we needed them heated seats)Sunroof and loads of usb ports, built in satnav etc.

Legoland and Legoland Beach Retreat bungalows..we spent NYE in a bungalow, the NYE Legoland fireworks were fab and up there with the best..our Grandson loved the park and we ended up going three times as it was so quiet compared to Disney.

Clearwater and the Seascreamer..went on this in June and loved it so we decided to do it again..luckily we chose a beautiful day, highly recommend along with Crabby Bill's for lunch.

Feeding the giraffes in Busch Gardens..we booked when we arrived at the park for opening and were lucky that we were the only ones on that first safari so had the truck, giraffes and photographer to ourselves, brilliant as the truck after us was a full one.

Disney although very busy,we had some great days.
Spending quality time with our 6 yr old Grandson Zac..although we see him a lot it was great being with him for more than three weeks.

Lows were few really..the cold snap was disappointing and although people always say it can't be that bad,it really was bitter at times and lasted way longer than the odd chilly day.
British Airways..I'm a Virgin and really didn't rate BA at all..shabby plane and apart from two lovely male cabin crew, the rest barely cracked a smile.I've never been so cold on a flight ever, people were wrapped in blankets and sat with hoods up it was so cold.
Rough as toast passengers who thought the plane was their kids private playground to run up and down and the same passengers who were spread up and down and stood in the aisle for the entire flight shouting up and down to each other, cabin crew could never get passed but they seemed reluctant to ask them to move, even the seatbelt sign going on didn't stop them from wandering,I think the crew were intimidated by them being a very large group,if they were Dibbers then tough, extremely rude peope.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell..another fab holiday.Till the next time America!

Sounds like another great time Linda. Shame about the cold weather and some passengers, some really couldn’t care about others 😕

I think you can get passengers who don't know how to behave with any airline , the worst I ever experienced was with Virgin and it was clear the (very young) cabin crew were a bit intimidated by them and weren't going to tell them to stop blocking the aisles, wander or shout to their mates. It's not such a problem with the US airlines as many of the long haul crew are MUCH older ... and take no prisoners !

Worst ever flight I was on was a Virgin Atlantic to Orlando about 15 years ago. They ended up putting the seat belt signs on.

I've seen some roasters on VA flights too...the passengers weren't really the reason for BA being in my lows,I just didn't like the flight compared to Virgin..ohhh and Gatwick airport,I'd forgotten how much I hated it and why we stopped going via Gatwick years ago.

Glad to see you had more highs than lows Linda.

The cold snap was a lot longer than usual and such a shame but hope it didn’t impact too much on your plans.

Did you manage to see the lovely decorated houses on Legacy Park we thought they were great.

Joan

Hi Joan, yes we drove round them all, some fab ones.I loved the drive down the road and into Highgate Park too,it was beautifully done, they were just taking them down the when we left on Thursday. The houses in Celebration were out of this world with their Christmas decorations, loved that they were sat on their porches in their rocking chairs handing out Christmas candy to the kids. This was one of my favourites.

Sounds a great holiday, unfortunately I would have found my leg developing a suddenly jolting out into the aisle every time they ran past I hate badly behaved kids unfortunately the parents are usually no better, yes Gatwick really is my least favourite airport largely due to the distance . Sea screamer is on my to do list, I am now going to look at feeding the giraffes one of my boys would love that 😀

Linda. Sounds like a great time was had, pity about the flight issues but soon forgotten.
Ahh a 6 year old. What a magical age. Old enough to have an opinion and be able to do lots of things but young enough to experience and be in awe of the Magic.
Well done.

Welcome home. Sounds like you had a great time, shame about the weather, and the rude people on the plane.
