Esta

Do I need to print anything off? I've checked online and they're all approved.

Official ESTA web site suggests you do (or a screen shot) mostly because some ignorant UK check-in staff have asked Dibbers in the past for a print. Totally unnecessary but some slight risk

Apart from info on the phone, we always take a paper copy of all our documents, esta, passport, accommodation info and car hire. Its a 'just in case' scenario.

Yes we always do. Never been asked for it but I’d rather have it just in case.

We had never printed before but last year just happened to do so - I have no idea why we decided to do it that time. We were then actually asked at check-in by TUI to see the ESTA so we were glad we did for ease of getting checked in. But as others have said above, you shouldn’t have to show it but some check-in staff do ask.

Definitely take a printed copy - when we went in 2017 we were asked for it at Glasgow airport when checking in and again in MCO when going through immigration - my parents on the other hand (who travelled with us) weren't asked for theirs at all

Aer Lingus wouldn’t let me check in online and when I got to the check in desk they claimed I didn’t have an ESTA. Luckily I had the printout and after lots of keyboard tapping and huffing they managed to overwrite the system and print our boarding cards. I was so glad I had the printout in my folder because they were trying to fob me off to the back of the queue to “sort it out” until I produced the print out.

Every time I've checked in with British Airways in Singapore for a journey to the USA they've asked to see my ESTA. So I always print it out...
