RPR at end of holiday

We always book a villa and stay at RPR for 2 nights in the middle of our stay, therefore paying for both villa and RPR on those 2 nights. But this time we're considering saving money on the villa and booking it for 2 nights fewer than usual and tagging RPR on at the end. RPR is the same price either way but it saves a few hundred on the 2 extra villa nights.

My concern is that it will be too difficult switching to RPR at the end - we'll have to take everything with us and pack whilst we're there, sorting out land luggage liquids and all that palaver - which I'd rather do in the villa, not waste Universal park time! I also think we'd miss most of the 3rd day at Universal because of having to leave to catch the plane...

Thoughts?

We stayed for 3 nights at the HRH after a villa holiday and it was not a problem.

The only issue we had was after the villa the room at HRH felt a bit cramped.

Packing wasn't an issue as we had pretty much packed most of cases at the villa and then just unpacked what was required

That's true - I hadn't thought of that!

Yes, same as PP. Pack what you’ll need for RPR in one case, and also pack your hand luggage, and then everything else you can put in different cases which you will know you don’t need to open

We did the same Disney first , leave what you need in 1 case and hand luggage, don’t need to open rest, last 3 days at RPR, you can stay in parks a lot longer as you can just walk back to your hotel and pick your luggage up .

We decided to go for it! Thanks for the advice everyone. Also, our last day always feel slike a wasted day - we end up wandering around Disney Springs, unsure what to do. So at least this way we get a few more park hours in before we have to leave.

There are really nice showers in the gym too so you can freshen up before you head to the airport. Loads of fresh towels and all the toiletries you’ll need

We are doing this next year. Usually start with RPR but decided to end with it. Think it will be perfect 😊
