Lightsaber Experience
Hi. Has anyone done the lightsaber experience in GE? How did you manage to bring the lightsaber home on the plane? I would think it's too fragile to put in the hold. Any advice is welcome!

Hi. My DS bought a lightsaber in Think Geek which are fragile and like the ones in Galaxys Edge. We just too it in the cabin with us on the way home. We also had a droid from Droid Depot in our hand luggage, nobody said anything about them. We flew with BA and from Miami not Orlando, but it was no problem at all

Who are you flying with? I asked Virgin Atlantic on Twitter and they said it’s fine to take it along with hand luggage straight into the plane.

It's my brother that's flying with it. He was with Thomas Cook, so no idea who he's flying home with yet! I'll let him know, but I don't think he's going to risk it now. Too much upheaval already.

You're fine to bring them home in your hand luggage. The TSA are happy with this and most airlines are okay with it too.
I'm not what you mean about the lightsaber being "too fragile" though? They are no more fragile than a lot of other things you put in a suitcase.

On our tui flight last Friday everyone had to check them in to go in the hold, anyone trying to take as hand luggage was told they had to check it in🤦🏻They put fragile stickers on them and they all came off the conveyer belt first.

The blade seems to fit in our larger trip case corner to corner in its protective case. It’s quite snug and the corners are rigid so should be fine, so I think I’ll just put it in there.

My brother is arriving back in the UK today. He chickened out and didn't buy it! Too much upheaval with the Thomas Cook problems, and a 4 hour coach transfer at the end of the flight. Thanks everyone for your advice.
