Petition to save the Photopass Photographers

Signed as even though I've never had Memory Maker I loved getting family photo's that the photographers used to take with our camera/phone. Can't imagine standing with Mickey and getting photo taken by a "box" One of our few fastpasses before MNSSHP next month is with Minnie and MIckey at Town Hall and hoping the cast member will be happy to take a photo of the three of us or there will be no family photo this visit.

We always meet Mickey on our first day and loads of ace pictures of my kids looking in awe or close ups of them hugging etc

Last month we met tinker elk and it was an automated box, we got one picture, I was in the edge of the shot, the kids weren’t looking and tinker bell was talking, it was rubbish

There’s no way they are a suitable replacement for human interaction and intuition

Disney aren't planning on doing anything with the outside photographers.

Disney are installing (have installed?) automated cameras at 9 indoor character greeting locations. Photopass photographers will continue to be at more than 100 other locations at WDW.

The petition is somewhat misleading - it makes it sound like Disney are replacing all, or at least most, of their photographers which isn't the case.

I suppose a photo box is cheaper than paying a real person, another reason why I’m done with Disney after this year. I know it’s always been a business, but they keep taking away from the ‘experience’ every year by wanting to make even more money.

We encountered one of those automatic cameras this summer and I found it a very odd experience. We got some very random photos when we weren’t in position.
