Thanksgiving?

Hi, just realised that we are there for thanksgiving, how does this affect the crowds in the parks and does it have an impact for the whole weekend? Thank you

It does get busy as it's a popular time for the US residents. It tends to be busy a few days either side of Thanksgiving. We've been there a couple of times for Thanksgiving and whilst it's busy, there's normally quite a lot of bargains in the Black Friday Sales. Also, quite a few places Restaurants/Shops were closed for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Thursday I went to Animal Kingdom very busy on the Friday I had a day at Discovery Cove. The only problem encountered on Friday was being delayed being picked up from Discovery Cove by order transport due to traffic otherwise it was fine. Went to universal on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and it was relatively easy day mind you I don't do a lot of the simulator ride due to motion sickness but the Park was fine to walk about in and find something to eat and I was there from 8 in the morning until 10 at night as I also took in the Blue Man show.

We avoided the parks on thanksgiving, but the restaurants were understandably very busy, and some even close (like our favourite Longhorn).
