All work and no play! Not likely! Day 1 - Denny’s, relaxing and Outback

Day 1 -30th April

So as is normal our first day dawns bright and early, we’ll actually it’s dark and early because it’s 2am! We do manage to doze back off but by 4am I’m done, Jane has been watching tv since 2!

I make cups of tea and we start getting ourselves together with showers etc. We decide as it’s our first day to go out for breakfast, a rare occurrence for us!

It’s a beautiful morning and we leave the villa at 7am. We head to Denny’s on the 192 which is about a 10 minute drive from ours.

Richard and Jane both choose meals off the over 55 menu, I’m not 55 yet! I build my own slam.

The bill was $34 with drinks. service was erratic!

From there we head to Walmart for kitchen roll (50c), washing liquid ($1), dishwasher tabs ($2.96), I took note of the prices for you!

We also came home with a 55inch 4K Smart TV! 😳 we play jenga with the car seats so we can all get in the car with the tv as well!
We get it home in once piece and it just fits on our tv unit perfectly.

Richard sets it up, he’s a very happy bunny playing with his new toy!

I put our old 40 inch tv on an owners Facebook page, it’s sold within half an hour!

Jane and I pop back to Walmart. I take my glasses prescription to choose some new glasses as I had an eye test two weeks ago. They are not cheap but they are also not available in England! They have magnetic sunglasses clips on them. Jane buys energy drinks and donuts!

By the time we get home the guy is there collecting the old tv which is great, I didn’t expect it go that quickly!

An alfresco lunch of Caesars Salad and a tuna roll and then some pool time!

A couple of Geckos join us!

Lots of relaxing this afternoon and we decide, as is tradition on our first night, to go to Outback.

We head to the one on Formosa and are seated straight away. We have a Blooming Onion to start, it’s the biggest I’ve ever seen. Our server even brings us an extra dish of dip! We also have yummy bread.

I have a 9 oz sirloin with mash and veg, Jane has ribs and Richard has chicken and shrimp pasta. All are fabulous and the bill is $61, we did get the onion for free.

We visit Publix on the way home for Ant Acids. And ice cream! We’re in bed by 9pm, so rock n roll! Night all xx

PD. I do like some food pictures, lovely. I love a nice steak with mash. Pairs nicely.
That was a bit of luck the TV going so quickly after you advertised it.
I cannot believe how much effort and expenditure you Villa Owners put into keeping the place nice.
