Metal detecting anyone?

My Husband is looking for a hobby to take into his retirement years. He is really interested in metal detecting. He has found a couple of magazines in WHS and is wanting to know which is best to subscribe to.

We have 'Treasure Hunter' and 'Searcher'.

Any help would be great, thanks

My parents were huge detecting fans, they used to go out every weekend and even found a hoard of silver coins. Dad subscribed to both of those magazines so I can’t tell you which is best I’m afraid, he read them both from cover to cover every month.

Detectorists!
The best tv of the last decade in my humble opinion.
Funny, sweet and has a real love of the countryside and nature.
Catch up with it if you haven't watched.
And the theme tune..brilliant.

Oh and I hope the hobby is enjoyable if taken up.

Its a hidden gem, two blokes spending days messing about doing something not out of laddish wackiness but because they are genuinely interested... I love the little nods to other hobbies Lance has his triumph and marine fish

great supporting cast as well & as you say theme tune. some great incidental music as well, the unthanks etc
