Sleigh Bells ring are you Listening? Day 13, painting, spring cleaning and meeting owners

Up at 6.30 as usual, I have toast and Richard has scrambled eggs on toast.

It’s another gorgeous morning and Richards plan is to paint the front door, it’s metal and suffers terribly in the sun and damp atmosphere.

My plan is spring cleaning, under the beds, behind the beds and the same with he big formal sofas.

I also sort out all our games and puzzles. By the time I’ve thrown a couple of really battered ones in the bin we have 23 games and puzzles plus, chess, draughts, playing cards and dominoes.

You know you’re a villa owner when there’s a paint tray next to your cuppa on the side!

Out to the pool deck and some paint touching up. Typically the pool guy arrives just as I’ve finished and unfortunately I have to tell him he can’t service the pool today because there’s wet paint everywhere. Richard does some gardening around the outside of the pool cage, thankfully our neighbours are letting us use their bin for all our extra rubbish!

Ham and cheese sarnies for lunch sitting on a dry bit of deck!

We spend a couple of hours by the pool and then get ready to go to the owners meet up organised by our friend Kerry. A very pleasant couple of hours is spent chatting about all things villas and more. They all head off to Millers and we head home via another Walmart to get the elusive iron.

We have flatbread and salad for tea back at the Villa followed by our gorgeous strawberries from the farmers market.
