Boardwalk Inn - what’s it like?
Just had a works trip announced for January. I’ve been given the option of yacht club, beach club or boardwalk inn.
I chose the boardwalk inn purely because I’d never stayed there before. Have I made a good choice? When i stayed in the yacht club before, it’s clearly a nice hotel, but I wasn’t a fan. |

Wow a work trip to there. Very jealous.
I've not stayed at the Inn but we own at the Villas attached. It's a nice resort- nice theme and on a par with the quality of the Beach and Yaght club. Not seen in any of the bedrooms though so cannot comment on them.

Fab choice. I vastly preferred it to the Beach Club.
Smaller, quirkier, fantastic staff. Some find the lack of QS off putting as the only one is the Boardwalk Bakery , personally we loved the bakery and if we wanted a bigger breakfast it was a nice stroll or a quick launch ride over to the Beach or Yacht and even quicker to the Swan and Dolphin. More of an adult choice so perfect for a winter conference.. |

Fabulous resort, small and quirky, the Inn itself is more of a boutique feel than a resort feel but step outside the 'back' and you're on the boardwalk

We've just arrived home today after a week at Boardwalk Inn and it is now my favourite resort having stayed at Boardwalk Villas, Grand Flo, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian and Beach Club. The Inn was spotlessly clean and the decor beautiful. The check in is shared with Boardwalk Villas but the rooms far superior.

We were lucky enough to be offered BWI during the AKL pool refurb. It’s a lovely resort in an excellent location. I’d love to have the money to stay there again!

I guess its a very subjective question but after always wanting to stay at Boardwalk we did it this year and were disappointed. Our room felt like it was a 20 min walk from reception or any amenities obviously it wasn't but when your doing tonnes of walking in a day around the parks and fancy a snack or a swim it always seemed like quite a lot of effort involved. The common areas a lovely but it just didn't seem to wow me or feel as special as I expected. After Boardwalk we moved to CSR and I much preferred that to be honest.
I think given the choice again I would choose Beachclub over Boardwalk. I also felt out room was a little tired and battered.
