Flight help- LGW-DUB-MCO

Hello all,

We have received some great help on here previously and wondered if you could help again

We were lucky enough to win our holiday and have been offered the following choice of flights going out

11.05 LGW- 12.40 DUB 3pm to Orlando or and earlier one of 08.35 LGW-10.10 DUB

Which would people go for? We have 3 under 7s with us - youngest 2

Just wondering if 2 hrs 20mins is enough time

Congratulations! What a fantastic prize. You must be pleased.

I have no experience of flying from Dublin but a thread I was reading the other day suggested you needed at least 90mins to get through security and pre clearance so the longer one might be better. Am sure someone who knows better than I do will be along soon! Lol!

Congratulations - what a great prize.

I would go with the earlier flight. We have flown Aer Lingus (I assume that is who you would be flying with) and I have to say they are great !

We are flying from MAN via Dublin with Aer Lingus and had similar flight options. I could kick myself for not going for the earlier flight now to give us more to play with. I would choose the earlier flight and then treat yourself to the pre clearance lounge.

I’ve had good and bad experiences with Aer Lingus (lost part of our luggage following a cancelled/switched flight to New York).

2 hours is enough time, but save the hassle, go early and sit in the lounge and watch the planes take off

We went via Dublin in 2016
2hrs 20 is easily enough time but as others have said I’d go for the early flight and relax at Dublin
Great prize by the way

For a 3pm flight, i'd just take the later one but if you want to go early then make sure to book the 51st and Green lounge as there's not very much after US Immigration
