Has anyone stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek

We have decided not to wait for Disney's offered and I can not believe that I have booked with Virgin Holidays we normally book DIY but for 2 of us £2313.00 decided to book the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel, our last 9 visits have been on-site. We used to stay off-site years ago. The hotel looks okay and this trip is no theme parks just want to plan a relaxing trip.

I just want to know if anyone as stayed here and was okay after canceling this year's trip we need something to look forward to. The plan is days out to Kenndy space center, St Augustine, Cocca beach. So it's going to be more a base.

We’ve stayed here 2 or 3 times and love it. Our last trip (Feb 2020) we stayed there and it was just as good as ever.

More details in my trip report if you are interested

I haven't stayed there but it looks like an excellent choice as long as you will have a car. It is a central location but far more resort like than most places near I Drive. Being surrounded by a golf course makes it look much more peaceful. I also think Rosen Hotels in general deserve their excellent reputation as a privately run Orlando company that make a huge effort to support their staff and local community.

Thank you for this as we are planning a no theme park holiday and wanted a quiet base for days trips out and maybe a couple of nights on the coast was thinking of a Villa at first but when I looked at this for the price thought it would work out better. We are hiring a car but decided to book that ourselves rather than with Virgin.

We stayed there for a week in April 19 and due to go back this October! It is a beautiful hotel, lovely comfortable rooms, gorgeous pool areas and beautiful grounds. We found it quite expensive in restaurants so eat out. You definitely need a car, it can get busy in the car park so you may have a 4/5 minute walk to hotel. Any other questions just give me a shout

We stayed here in 2013 and loved it. You definitely need a car as the driveway itself is a mile long. The quick walk to the Publix wasn’t so quick.
