Did all Disney Parks, ( there was no Animal Kingdom or IOA then) Universal, Seaworld and Water Mania water park.
I remember eating at Shoneys and loving Cosmic Rays in MK.
We also went to a Wild West evening, I’ve no idea where it was but it was included in the holiday booking.
Came home knackered but had the best holiday ever.
We did the Wild West on our first trip, my late dad was totally in his element as he’d grown up watching cowboy &Indian films , DH was chosen to be server at our table and got a certificate to say what a great job he did ! Think we still have the straw hats they gave you somewhere

The first trip was in 1990 for me, I was 16. We stayed in a motel off-site, and had 5-days tickets to visit WDW. At the time it was only MK, Epcot and MGM, plus Downtown Disney. I remember having dinner on the Empress Lily (now Paddlefish) for my dad's birthday. We also spent a short day at Universal where nothing was working properly, so we got a refund. We were back the following year!

As I mentioned earlier our first trip was 1990 and Universal had only been open a couple of weeks and half had broken down. We were given free tickets but as we were bound for the coast we gave them to friends who were due to visit a couple of weeks later.

I recall queuing for about 1.5 hours for ET just to get to the door and then another 1.5 hours in the woods - all for a 5 minute ride.

You might remember this. They were filming a TV version of Psycho 4 or something while we were there. We bumped into Olivia Hussey on her way to the sound stage.

Thanks Mick, DH & I went in 1989 when Universal was still being built we remember seeing the Bates Motel in the distance but it didn't feature in the park when we returned after the park opened and thought we must have been imagining it. All makes sense now.

We stayed in an allocation on arrival villa in Southern Dunes and became very familiar with Highway 27 and the I4

A very special trip
Hey, I'm pretty sure this is my in-laws villa on Southern Dunes! 2031 Hemingway Avenue - they owned it from brand new in 1995 until 2003. Had many a brilliant holiday!

1991 when the castle was a weird cake! Think we flew with BA... stayed a week in a villa at Indian Wells and a week at Vistana Resort!
Absolutely loved it... I particularly remember loving the Horizons ride at Epcot and the fireworks but it was the atmosphere that hooked me ☺️

I have stayed in 3 bed villas on Indian Wells a few times - mainly on arrow drive. It may not be the most up to date subdivision in the area but the location is amazing.

1994 was my first trip with my now DH. I sold my old MG Metro to pay for the “once in a lifetime trip”. We stayed in his parents villa, down the road from
Sea world and was excited to be driving around in a convertible Le Baron. The first night the rain came down like I had never seen and I thought I’m not going to like it here 😂 We did magic kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Seaworld, the tickets were about $50 dollars.

We ate like kings at Wild Jacks on International Drive for $10 each where everything was “broiled”. There was a Kenny Rogers chicken restaurant it seemed on every corner.

We watched the OJ Simpson police chase on the tv whilst feasting on Publix fried chicken.

Pleasure Island was in full swing back then and we giggled at all the American teens posing in Mannequins nightclub.

It was an amazing time and we love it as much 26 years later 🇺🇸
