How to curb the excitement

Hi All,

This is mine and my husbands 4th trip to Orlando but our daughters first. She will be 2. It is however, our first time staying onsite and doing dining plan, and also just being us. Our over trips have always been part of a group.

Last time we went our trip was meh due to disagreements We also have never
  • Been to Epcot
  • Been to Animal Kingdom
  • Seen any shows
  • Seen any fireworks
  • Ate at Disney

We honestly never thought we would be able to do this trip for a number of years but we are! Sep next year.

My question is how do I stop myself from being so excited

Honestly Disney is all I think about 24/7. I'm just so excited, it is going to be amazing. We also go to DLP in 7 weeks which isn't helping, in fact it's making me more excited! ha!

I've practically planned everything ALREADY. I need help!

In short... you can’t! Or at least I’ve never been able to, 341 days to go for us and I’m wishing the time away already

Oh man, thought that might be the case

I am trying not to mention it too much to others as 99.9% of the responses are "I wouldn't dare take my child until they are OLD enough to appreciate it" bla bla you know the usual general bull?

So thought I'd turn to the lovely dibb lot who will embrace the excitement with me!

I got all that nonsense last year, DD1 was 17 months when we went! Proved them all wrong though as she is almost three and still talks about giving Mickey a cuddle at the castle (her words!)

We thought it was so perfect that we are going next year when DD2 will be 17 months!

We took my LO to DLP last year when she had just turned 1 and everyone went on at us then. It was amazing to see her face! I couldnt believe how much she loved it, and shes been obsessed with its small world. Cant wait to see her in WDW!

I can't help you I'm afraid as i can never contain my excitement I also am Disney mad and think about my holidays every day and drive everyone nuts! I am not even sorry! This will be our 22nd visit and we are as excited for this one as if its the first.

Don't try to contain the excitement or you will burst!

Jane

Not sure I have much advice for you... we booked our last trip about 20 months in advance and I was ready to implode by the time we went
Rather than trying to squish your excitement I suggest you embrace it - lots of YouTube and reading and dibbing... planning and replanning... the time soon passes
