A visitor came for breakfast.
A sparrow hawk came into garden and as his name says had a sparrow for breakfast. Nature can be cruel but a wonderful bird of prey nonetheless. Wish my phone had a better camera.

We had one take a bird in flight from our back garden about a month ago. Very sad.

Yes, as posted on the "where are the birds " thread we saw one swoop over a tree lined urban road and take a sparrow in mid flight.
