I agree, if someone answers, lets just be nice to them, ask how their vacation /holiday is, what the weathers like, how are the lines etc etc, not fair to be trying to spoil someones day.

the american chap i spoke to seemed amazed that someone would call from the UK, I could picture him putting the phone down and saying to his family " wow guys, that was someone from the UK"

I`ll second that! It would be very unfair to go playing pranks on people (as another poster has suggested), that is not a nice thing to do at all.

Remember that a Skype call to the US (using your pc) is a fairly cheap way to do this.

I just called (on the 63) number and spoke to a lady from Houston in Texas.

The conversation went along the lines of

".. Hello. Are you having a good day today in EPCOT?"

"..Yes Ma'am.." (<< how cool in itself is that!)

".. Where abouts are you from..?"

"..Texas in Houston.."

".. Hello Texas this is Tracy calling from the UK. This number is from a Disney forum called the DIBB. What's the weather doing there today?.."

"..You are calling from England? Awesome! The weather is hot.."

".. How long are you on Vacation for?.."

"..a week ma'am... are you really in England?.."

".. *laughing* Yes. Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation and thank you so much for answering the phone today. Good bye.."

"..Thank you for calling from England.."

How COOL is that hahaha!
