Looked at go Henry cards.
It's 2.75% if they use as debit card and £2 per transaction at an atm plus any charges made by the machine. These fees are if used abroad.

So get the exchange rate of the day as per visa Europe so no getting a specific rate like on adult cards such as fairfx.

Free for first 2 months then £2.49 per child per month.

It is a difficult one, my kids always save up a fair bit. I think last time they had £300 and £400 in cash which I exchanged into dollars before we went. Not ideal but couldn't see any other way. Wasn't helped when they both realised they left it at home when we were on the motorway and we had to go back.

This year I've got a revlolut card which I'll put their money on and withdraw in cash when we're there.

I'd probably get friends and family Fair Fx cards in my own name for each of them.

We've just opened a Nationwide Flex One account for our DS who is 11. Comes with a debit/cash card which can be used abroad with no fees

Will look a that account but with rate dropping at the moment want to change at least some up fairly soon.

Leaning towards putting their spends on my fx card at the moment and withdrawing at atm once we are in Florida. Then portioning out a bit so they don't carry too much around at once with rest in the safe.

Seems to be a gap in the market here for a kids card linked to parent account for someone like fairfx as based on all your replies our Children have a lot of money to spend in some cases like ours more disposable income than their parents and currently there isnt much provision for their spends with cash cards or holiday insurances.
