Closing Threads
When a Moderator closes a thread could it become policy that they write a small post at the end explaining the reason?
Recent example being the tipping/DDP thread that's been closed this morning, I was following the thread and cant understand why it was closed? Not saying it shouldn't have been closed, it would just be nice to have an explanation. Sometimes the reason is obvious but sometimes it isn't. |

I would assume they closed it because, like all other tipping threads, it started to get nasty.

tipping threads do normally get under my skin and I promise myself I wouldn't post on them again.
I was in a particularly good mood yesterday (DDD and paid off the hol) so was having some light hearted posts on the site... (the one listing all the neg comments - and imaging myself as a low paid worker arriving to find my station full of all the people who posted the negative anti-tipping stuff!) However - I tend to get what the mods are trying to achieve with the site and want to keep it light and airy - AS DO I btw - I love this site and it is full of, ahem "Strong Characters" (I love you all I do I do I do) - so I have no problem with them closing thread. I wouldn't want to be a mod in here - tough job! (LIES I would love that job!) PS - Sometimes the original posters ask for the threads to be closed... Edited at 06:48 PM. |
