Wyndham Garden LBV

Hi everyone

I've just amended my booking to stay at the Wyndham Garden instead of the Clarion Inn. For the small difference in price I thought the convenience of an improved shuttle service and short walking distance from Disney Springs was worth it.
Can anyone who has stayed there give their opinions on the resort and any tips? Also, does the shuttle go directly to the disney water parks or will I need to get to a resort and catch a bus from there?

thanks

Hi!
Great choice of hotel. We have just returned from a week stay. Pool is great and really quiet. Proximity to Disney springs is just amazing we walked to and from
There everyday. Most nights ended in Disney springs. The hotel had a lovely bar, deli, coffee shop for breakfast and Disney shop. The buses to parks run every 30mins. The water parks are seasonal so going in August we saw them a lot. The only thing that would stop me booking this again is the lack of Disney perks (magic band, EMH, EEH)
We had a very nice stay here! Rooms are lovely too.

Thanks for your replies Tilly. I know what you mean about the Disney perks, but as this is supposed to be a budget trip I couldn't really justify the extra to stay onsite this time
We've stayed in LBV a few times, usually at the clarion and have always been happy there, however always fancied a Disney Springs resort hotel as it seems to be a good happy medium. It will be more convenient for nipping back from the parks for a dip in the pool in the afternoon, something we enjoyed doing whenever we stayed onsite.
We are going early May 17, so hopefully shuttles to the waterparks will be available.

We've stayed here 4 times under its various different names over the years and loved it mainly for its location and bus services. The buses serve the water parks directly which is great but only two on a morning and two later in the day. We only do half a day in water parks so get a bus back to a Disney hotel and then a bus to Disney springs. It gives us a chance to explore other hotels too!

We've always had a tower room but with the new hotel set up I'm not sure if that's possible now.

Thanks mskitty. Sounds like the waterpark buses will suit us as we usually use them as rest days and stay there all day.
You are right about the new set up though. To stay in the tower side would have been an extra £914. A room in the Garden side only £408 extra so given they share facilities it was a no brainer! Total cost of VH package with transfers £1700. I'm pretty happy!

You'll be fine with the garden rooms. A little tip... search for Jill Wyndham Disney on Facebook. If she still works there shes the entertainment manager and I got chatting to her before we went and she sorted out a really nice room for us and really looked after us the whole time.
