Buying dollars soon.. help please

Going in 3 weeks.. we're looking at getting at Post office travel money card.. anyone used one?

Was it ok or did you have issues using it?.. and is the exchange rate ok?

Or is it better to just get actual dollars and if so, where is a good place to order from?

We usually take minimal dollars (when staying onsite) and Halifax Clarity card.

This year will be taking a Monzo card as a back-up if req. and a few extra dollars in cash as not doing Disney this time around.

I was debating getting a card last week (should have, bah). I was tending towards the Caxton card as it was no fees and you can take out more than $200.
So my input is no use as I've never had one

Hi we picked up a Thompson MasterCard pre paid card yesterday. After doing some research the rates were pretty much the same (rubbish!) you get £20 free topped up with the Thomson one and we've used the MasterCard pre pay before no trouble. This one has no charges to top up (Thomas cook do) and there is an app to see your spend and top up so convenient.
