If Thomas Cook announce that they’ve gone into administration, can I book a new holiday straight away with someone else, without worrying I’ve got two holidays booked.

Agreed he won’t be able to say either way it’s media speculation and it’s the mirror haha

I always think that two is the absolute minimum you should have planned anyway

This is a nightmare, I feel for everyone involved , holidays makers , tc staff it’s just horrible.
We’re booked flights only for May 2020 1st timers and can not afford to re book flights until we get this money back. Is claiming under section 75 difficult? Do You always get your money back? Or do they try to flight the claim? Just looked at other company’s flight prices for the dates we go, no way we can afford them 😭😭😭 |

Nothing to stop you booking an alternative holiday as soon as you want but only you can judge how to recover the cost of the failed one - either through Section 75 with a credit card or via ESF provisions in your travel insurance.
We've already researched alternatives for our spring 2020 trip but obviously not done anything yet. Mick

We were booked with Monarch when they went and despite it being a holiday with ABTA certificate they advised us to claim via credit card. Very quick and easy, had to send email showing booking details, money back within a few days. Suppose it depends on credit card. That was Tesco.
