Sorry I’d made a mistake in the original post, it was for four of us at £2400 - flights were under £600 each but not as cheap as £400!

Not that cheap, sorry. I forgot my parents paid their but separately and so it was £3500 for 6 of us. Under £600 each.

Some good news re finding new flights.
I managed to find indirect flights on United Economy for 2 adults and 1 12 year old for £1743. 4th July Edinburgh > Chicago > Orlando (4hr 15min layover) 20th July Orlando > Washington > Edinburgh. ( 3hr 28min layover) This includes 1x23kg each and prebooked seats. I'm delighted with the price as its £500 cheaper than my original TC flights. Were going to Disney World (again) |

I priced up our replacement fights on Virgin today and was quoted for 3 adults MAN-MCO a total of £5530
This was more than our entire last WDW holiday - I think they are taking advantage of the TC situation

Just checked again and is now £6175 for Economy classic
Glasgow looks better but £2900 still seems expensive.

Virgin prices are way too high... It's a shame for those who are unable to get to LGW as BA prices seem to be much more realistic.

I'd still be happy with that to be honest, I thought we'd be looking at £3500 for the 4 of us, in the region of £600 doesn't seem so bad for prime school holidays.

(Sorry that was meant to be quoting OP saying the total didn't include parents.)
