Visa appointment wait time?
Hi guys, was just wondering if anyone has any experience with booking an appointment for the us embassy London.
We are trying to currently book one and it just says that there is nothing available. Is this normal, do they appear randomly, is there maybe a monthly release of appointments? We have been checking for the past two weeks and no luck. All forms are submitted and relevant documents are to hand so just waiting on an appointment. Starting to get a bit nervous as this is all new to us. We would be grateful for any info. Thanks! |

Cant help on wait times, but have you considered Belfast. Many find it easier to get appointments there.

Hiya DD - if the visa isn't required due to a criminal background you should have enough time. We have B2 visa's to allow long stay, from application to interview/approval took circa 7 weeks.
If required for a criminal background, and a waiver is required, according to others it can take many months for waiver approval and strongly advise one doesn't make plans involving any payment until they're aware if the visa will be approved.

DH needed a visa and we took the first available one which was for about 3 weeks later after he applied. But it was a very early morning one and no chance really to pick a time.

Thank you all for your help!
I guess we will just have to keep looking and see what comes up. We will definitely take anything for as soon as possible, just want to get it all moving. It’s all pretty stressful. |

DD had dates 6 weeks in advance given, only 8am appointments available, so she had to book a Premier Inn for the night before.
